Just to be there

So this morning we got up at 5 and went to DC. It was awesome. Some good advice we got from the newspaper- take your own toilet paper! There wasn't any in any portajohn we used. We parked at Rockville, the second farthest out metro station to us. We bought our all day pass and got on the metro. A small snafu when they had to close the metro at Gallery Place so we had no choice but to get off at Dupont Circle. That's ok. We are pretty familiar with that part of DC.




This is the view up 19th Street (behind us as we walked toward the mall) around 10am



Look there are just as many people coming down 18th Street....

Madelyn got tired- and she didn't even have to walk!
